El 21 de diciembre tiene lugar el solsticio de invierno. El día con la noche más larga del año se considera desde tiempos inmemoriales como una fecha mágica que anotar en nuestro calendario y sus orígenes se remontan a los antiguos pueblos nórdicos. Algunas tradiciones han perdurado hasta nuestros días como la de adornar árboles, costumbre que hacían los celtas para embellecer los árboles que en esa época estaban sin flores ni hojas. Aunque el hecho de cortarlos y adornarlos a día de hoy en nuestra propia casa les parecería extraña, cuanto menos.

Así como el 31 de octubre se celebra el Samhain que supone el fin de año celta, el Yule simboliza el renacimiento después del período de frío y oscuridad. Es por tanto un buen momento para la reflexión y prepararse para el nuevo ciclo que está por llegar.

Con la primera helada del invierno, cuando los primeros rayos del sol se reflejan sobre la prístina escarcha, en lo más profundo del bosque despierta de su letargo el hada del invierno...
Recorre el bosque convocando a otros seres feéricos tejedores de sueños y creadores de mágicos artilugios.
Los presentes van surgiendo a su paso bajo el musgo helado respondiendo a la llamada del batir de sus alas.
El hada es una criatura de hielo con gélido pero bondadoso corazón. Durante todo el invierno se encarga de recoger las ofrendas de la artesanía feérica para enviarlos antes de que la nieve se derrita a todos aquellos que creen en la magia y conservan viva la ilusión. Su labor silenciosa y veloz templa poco a poco su corazón hasta hacerlo derretir. Su alma se funde con la llegada de la primavera dejando a su paso un precioso legado.
Nos desplazamos hasta un bello rincón de Francia para grabar este corto mágico. ¡Esperamos que os guste!

December 21st is the winter solstice. The day with the most long night is considered a special date to remember since old times. Their origins begins with the old northern folks. Some traditions have endured since today like decorate the trees on Christmas, tradition that the Celts did to embellish the trees without leaves and flowers in that period. Even though the way in which we make it we today cutting the trees and putting it in our houses would seem strange to them at least.
As in 31st October we celebrate Samhain, the celtic end of the year, Yule symbolize rebirth after the cold and dark time. So is a good moment to reflection and prepare the new cycle that is coming.

With the first winter freeze, when the first sunbeams are reflected on the pristine frost, the winter fairy wakes up from her lethargy in the deep of the forest.
She goes across the forest summoning other fairies weavers of dream ans creators of magic devices.
The presents emerges to her steps under the frozen moss answering to the call of the beat of her wings.
The fairy is an ice creature with icy but good-natured heart. During the whole winter she collects all the offerings from fairy craft to send them before snow melts yo all who believe in magic and preserve the illusion. Her silent and fast labor warms up her heart until it gets melt. Her soul fuses with the spring arrival leaving behind a precious legacy.
We went to a beautiful corner of France to film this magical short. We hope you like it!
